About the event

‘Where It’s At’ is a stand-up comedy show produced by a DMV favorite, Alex Tyminski, who runs Could be Coachella Comedy, a local comedy production. Alex is a blend of your casual, but confident girl-next-door vibe and charms the audience with her positivity, honest nature, and big personality. This comedy show is about encouraging free expression and showing up as your full self, on and off stage, whether that’s in your jokes or style. We know where it’s at! This show brings you top talent that performs at the DC Improv, The DC Comedy Loft, The Funny Bone Comedy Clubs, Room 808, Hotbed Comedy Club, Arlington Drafthouse, and The Port (located in Baltimore). Come hang with us, have fun, and vibe out with the DMV rising comics.

Alex was born in and adopted from Beirut, Lebanon and raised in Silver Spring, MD. Her comedy is a mix of dry storytelling and radical candor about the hard truths of being adopted while also speaking her mind of everyday observations we encounter. She performs regularly and hosts at shows around the DMV including at Room 808, Hotbed Comedy Club, and The DC Comedy Loft, amongst many other locally produced shows. She has hosted shows for Dan Donahue and Lea’h Sampson at the DC Comedy Loft and for Jourdain Fisher at The Port Comedy Club in Baltimore as well as guest appearances for comics such as Ali Sultan, Sabeen Sadiq, Amir K and Martin Amini. Alex runs her own local show, called Could Be Coachella, at Capo Deli Speakeasy in DC. Recently, Alex was a part of Badar Tareen’s ‘Why Are You Brown?’ show at The Capital Fringe Festival in DC in July 2024, which was featured in The Washington Post, as well as part of the traveling show ‘Hilarious Habibi’s’ which regularly takes place at the Hollywood Improv featuring Middle Eastern comics in June 2024
